Southern Yurts is a luxury glamping collection on the Diepklowe Nature Reserve near Caledon, about 90 minutes (100km) from Cape Town. The yurts and newer cabins suit anything from a quick midweek escape to a romantic space for two or a retreat into nature with family and friends. Every unit has a private wood-fired hot tub and good Wifi with UPS, and Forest View Yurt, River Cabin and Botanica Cabin also have wood-fired pizza ovens. Stays are self-catering, though food baskets can be ordered, and all accommodation is pet friendly. The reserve offers hiking trails, trail running, bird watching and a farm dam with a canoe and kayak, with wine tasting, zip lining, horse-riding and farmer's markets within a 30 minute drive.
The whole Southern Yurts site for up to fourteen: yurts, cabins, a pool and a wood-fired tub in a Caledon reserve.
Pet friendly on request. Small children <2 years of age are free of charge unless additional linen needs to be provided. No smoking inside any tent or cabin strictly, an additional cleaning fee will be charged. Damages must please be reported/replaced. Fire safety is guest responsibility and liability.
